Popsci.com PPX

Popular Science has come out with a futures exchange. It is pretty darn fun. You buy into stock for the iPhone's success, and whether the average gas price will reach $3.50 in the US. It is mildly involving, and keeps you busy, when we all know you aren't (work, anyone?). I would say out of a possible 5 points of genius, I would give it a 3. It shows that it is some what possible to predict the future based on what consumers want.

Apple - If I were you, and I'm not, I would watch this, just to see what kind of demand is to be expected.

Work... doesn't work...

I don't know how many people have stayed at a job long enough to hate it, or better yet short enough to love it, but I know at around 1 year, I am DEAD tired of work. There are many reasons for this. No project leads, everyone stabs the other in the back, irrational bosses, and no rational project managers to mediate the constant struggle between the technical programmers, DBAs and other people working on the project (mostly the irrational bosses). I wish work could be more like it was when I worked for myself.

When I was a personal website designer, I could bring home $400 tax free a month, without having to drive or pay rent or anything. And without all that fancy stuff, $400 is more than I get to play with now after everything is taken out.

Makes me wish I could go back.

Llama Technic Book Shop

I have added a new link to my links, it is a book shop, with a few really good books in it. You should have a look at it. Possibly even drop me a line to recommend reading for me to add.
