Thumb drives are grand... especially with DSL

OK. I know Damn Small Linux has been around for a GOOD long while, but I am just now getting around to trying it. I have it on a thumb drive that had 128 megabytes of usable space. I will say this right now, it is fast, and comes with enough out of the box software to replace windows if you don't mind the not so supportive drivers.

It was able to do my video with a little fighting, and my USB mouse, but not my NIC or my Wireless. Granted, both of these devices are branded by Dell, so I can't imagine they would work out of the box on a very streamlined OS, so I am not surprised.

The applications on DSL were amazing. I forget the names of the programs, but the spreadsheed app was beyond smooth, fast and just great!

I recomend it.
